Sick and tired of a tooth cavity?

Here is my story about my tooth cavity. It all started with a trip to the dentist several years ago for a routine cleaning. After the usual x-ray, the dentist showed me a dark spot on the x-ray which meant that I had a cavity forming. I haven’t had a cavity in years so this was quite a shock to me. I didn’t have dental insurance so I just kept seeing $$$ signs. Luckily my dentist didn’t pressure me to have it fixed right then and since I didn’t have any pain yet I waited and waited and waited.

When this all began, I had been using an Oral-B electric toothbrush with a rotating head, like what the dentists use and after a couple of years, I decided to use a different toothbrush. Well, after using this new toothbrush for a couple of months, I went back to my dentist for a regular cleaning and got another x-ray. To my surprise, I couldn’t find the dark spot that was there before. I asked my dentist and he confirmed that the dark spot was gone! He said it was a miracle!! No more tooth cavity! I had told him about the new toothbrush and he didn’t say much. I guess he thought that if everybody knew about this, his dental business would be affected quite a bit.

Any special instructions on using this toothbrush?

There is one caveat in using this toothbrush – you need to use it for at least a total of 2 minutes on all sides of your teeth so that would break down to about 30 seconds on each quadrant of your mouth. Also, don’t forget to brush your tongue.

So, what is this special toothbrush?

It is the Philips One Sonicare battery-operated toothbrush. This is not the expensive type they sell at Costco, but instead is their least expensive model that has batteries that you can replace yourself. I use rechargeable batteries and they last about a month or so on each charge. This toothbrush does come with only one brush head and it is a soft type.

Here below are the soft replacement heads which are recommended to be changed every 3 months.
