What is a descaler?

A descaler removes your existing hard water buildup in your water pipes and various appliances. Hard water buildup is made of calcium carbonate (calcite, limestone) or the double carbonate of calcium and magnesium (dolomite).

The typical home solution is using vinegar and baking soda, CLR, Lime-away, Lemi-Shine(for dishwasher), or citric acid. Even when using these products, it takes time and effort besides the cost. Now imagine trying to clean your water pipes with these products! Yes, that would be a nightmare.

Why do you need a descaler?
